Seek MIDI Files of Piano Rolls
By Ellsworth Johnson

MMDers -- Do any of you folks, especially those that currently are
making MIDI files from piano rolls, have MIDI files made from any of
L. Douglas Henderson's Artcraft Ampico and Duo-Art piano rolls?

Since I don't own a piano nowadays the only way I have to hear a piano
roll is via MIDI files with my computer. I have quite a good sound
card in my computer and I feel the MIDI files sound excellent. I would
like to see if I can hear the difference in an Artcraft roll by Douglas
Henderson compared to an original Ampico or Duo Art roll, for which
I have a great many MIDI files now.

I have many reels of reel-to-reel audio tape I made from Ampico and
Duo-Art rolls on pianos that I restored back in the 1960s, and of
course I have the equipment to listen to any of those, but it is so
much easier to play a MIDI file on my computer.
