New Music Rolls for Player Organ
By Ken Rosen

Would any fellow MMD readers be interested in new titles for Kimball
electronic player organ? I bought a few of these rolls a few years
ago and discovered that they are quite faithful reproductions of the
playing of organ salesmen: filled with wrong melodies, wrong harmonies
and chords, ham-fisted and quite disappointing.

Without at all intending to sound boastful, I am certain I could punch
out better, more idiomatic organ arrangements on the hand perforator
I have left neglected for far too long. I'd probably do great Tin Pan
Alley standards rather than the current 1950s and early '60s tunes on
many of the Kimball rolls. Any opinions?

Thanks,
Ken Rosen
