Cleaning Metal Organ Pipes with Versene
By John Schroeder

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

Hi Robbie, I purchased some EDTA disodium salt (Versene) from ANTEC
Consulting Analytical Chemists in Louisville, Kentucky.

It is expensive at $30 per pound, but using six tablespoons per 1/2
gallon of hot water, I found that it did a nice job on a spotted metal
test pipe that was badly oxidized. John Nolte mentioned a "slippery
solution" which implies a stronger one than I used, but my weaker one
worked fine. Took a bit longer to work, perhaps.

Thanks for your help,
John Schroeder
