Welte-Mignon Recording Technology
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Starting back in October 2003, I became involved in the
creation of a web page to present some of the findings of Professor
Ludwig Peetz, Ph.D., and his theories about how the Welte Recording
system could have worked with the technology that was available in the
early 1900's. On Sept 27, 2003, Prof. Peetz submitted a posting (see
link below) to the MMDigest, and during the month or so that followed,
a number of MMDigest members submitted follow-up postings.

In mid-November 2003, I mentioned the web page in a posting to the
MMDigest (see link below) and stated that Craig Brougher and I had
questions about the system. In the weeks that followed, those questions
were addressed and work on the web page continued.

For those who are interested in seeing all of the information that was
presented to me by the end of 2003, you can view the completed web page
at http://www.player-care.com/welte-recording.html

Musically,
