Recordings of Weber Maesto Orchestrion
By Doug Hershberger

There was a company called Concert Recording with whom I had
a subscription in the 1970s. Each month they sent out a list
of recordings which always featured a selection of the month.
They would send that automatically and you could order anything
else in addition.

I bought many outstanding and many ordinary records from them.
I assume they passed out of the picture years ago. They offered
the 33-1/3 rpm LP discs which featured the Maesto. CR-M050 had
a Wurlitzer 30-A Mandolin PianOrchestra on one side and the Maesto
on the other. CR-M060 and CR-M105 had only the Maesto. Perhaps
these discs can be found on eBay. Better yet, perhaps someone
has re-issued this delightful music on CD.

Doric Records produced the finest LPs I ever owned and I think they
also are gone from the market. Does anyone know if their masters
ever turned up in a modern format? Doric produced theatre organ
records; I don't remember them offering mechanical music among the
products.
