About 25 years ago I was doing some work at Death Valley National
Monument and went to Scotty's Castle, which is a mansion built by
an eccentric.  The story is fascinating, but too long to tell here.

To get to the point, there is, or was, a built-in reproducing piano
and, if my memory serves me correctly, it would also play an organ and
a carillon on the grounds.  My recollection is that it had recently
been restored by someone.

Does anyone know about this instrument?  What brand is it?  Who
restored it?  Is it still operable?  Is it ever played?  If it is not
known to the group I will try to find out about it and make a report.
