Player Organ in Scotty's Castle, Calif.
By Ray Fairfield

Scotty's Castle has a delightful music room, as did virtually all
early mansions. The music room is one of the highlights of the tour.
The Welte-Mignon has been converted to computer control and is played
for each tour group, one tune per tour. You get to see it, and you
get to hear it, but for mechanical music buffs (and organ buffs),
the stop in the music room is all too brief.

If you ever get out to Las Vegas, or for whatever reason are in Death
Valley, Scotty's Castle is a must-see.
