Today was my first visit to the Mechanical Music Digest Archives web
site.  The reason for my visit was to gather information about the
history of our company, which began in 1909 as the National Automatic
Music Company, and to obtain information about our 1909 player pianos.

Would anyone know how or where we might acquire an AMI produced player
piano to add to our jukebox museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan?  Any
information would be appreciated.

 [   About the same time, early in 1927, another nice coin-op
 [   phonograph, the National Automatic Selective Phonograph, was
 [   introduced by the National Piano Manufacturing Company in Grand
 [   Rapids, Michigan.  The firm was known then for its main product,
 [   a special 8-selection coin-piano playing Welte rolls (changer
 [   mechanism connected to a Bush & Lane reproducer piano).  The
 [   company was in the period from 1909 (when it was founded) until
 [   1925 also known as National Automatic Music Company, and soon
 [   after the introduction of the coin-op phonograph in 1927 the name
 [   was changed to Automatic Musical Instrument Company (the change
 [   of name started in 1925).
