Piano Rolls Played by Percy Wenrich
By Robert Perry

Hi all, Somewhere last year I read some promotional guff from
the Imperial Music Roll company in Chicago, dated 1919, which had
a statement to the effect of "Well-known songwriter Percy Wenrich
recently visited our studios to record a roll of his new song,
'How Are You Going To Wet Your Whistle (When The Whole Darn Town
Goes Dry)'".

Seems to me this would be a very important roll from an historical
context, since Wenrich isn't known to have made any other rolls.
Does anyone have this roll in their collection? I have a feeling the
press release stated it was a duet with Charley Straight or Roy Bargy.

Regards,
Robert Perry
