1923 Laffargue Pianola in Australia
By Daniel Cox

Hi all, I'm a first-time Pianola owner and I'm reading and learning as
I go. I have ordered Art Reblitz's book on rebuilding but it will take
a few weeks before I get it.

I paid only $50 for my Pianola and I plan on doing as much as I can to
restore her. Even if I don't succeed with the player, I will still
have a good working piano to enjoy.

I have a few questions I'm hoping someone might answer:

1) It has a Amphion player and I'm ready to remove the stack for repairs.
Will it be possible for someone inexperienced like me to be able to put
it back in once I'm done?

2) On the front flip-down control board, on the right hand side next to
the Tempo lever, is one black push button. Is this a Reroll button or
a Silent button? (Sorry, no tube underneath as it's missing.)

Thanks for any help. I will have more questions in due course.

Regards
Daniel Cox
