1923 Laffargue Amphion in Australia

Please don't call it a "Pianola", which was a trademark of Aeolian.
I had one of these. Excellent piano, but used the Amphion "upside
down" type (early) valve blocks. Be exceedingly careful in their
restoration, or the piano won't work, and you will cry a lot. Even
carefully restored, you will need to give the pedals a sudden "kick"
to create a quick rise in vacuum, and suck all the valves upward,
into their seats. Thump!
