Free Want-Ads at Player-Care
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, I've reinstated the 'Free Want-Ads' web page at Player-Care:

  http://www.player-care.com/want-adz.html

While I fully admit that my motives are somewhat self-serving, I'm
bringing the change to the attention of MMDigest readers for two main
reasons. One, to get your feelings and/or suggestions on the matter.
Two, to suggest that if you have used or restored parts for player
pianos, it might be to your economic advantage to visit the page on
a periodic basis.

To avoid abuse, I will personally examine every Want Ad before it gets
uploaded to the site. Also, I'm considering placing some sort of a time
limit on every ad to eliminate the problem of having to contact people
and find out if they got what they needed. Beyond that, I haven't given
too much thought to the endeavor.

Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome. However, be advised that
I have no intention of reinstating the 'For Sale' web page. There is
simply no way to verify for absolute certainty that the person selling
the item actually has the item, and I refuse to be caught in the middle
between a buyer, who somehow thinks that it's my obligation to verify
a For Sale ad, and a seller whose aim it is to rip people off. 'Want
Ads' are a different matter because I can't be accused of promoting the
sale of anything.

Musically,
John A Tuttle
