Polyphon Disc Changer Colours
By Mark Singleton

Could anyone please help with my query on a 6-tune Polyphon
Autochanger? I would like to know what colour the original motor
assembly and associated levers were originally. On my machine the
bedplate and associated bell carriers retain their original gold
livery, but the motor/changer device, with the exception of the
toast rack, is finished in mustard. Judging by the overall general
patination this has either been done in excess of five decades or
is original.

Can anyone shed any light on this? I have inspected a 10-tune changer
of different case form and this sported a deep red internal livery
believed to be original. Any members who have one of these machines
I would very much appreciate any internal digital images you may be
able to supply. Thanks one & all.
