Hello,  I am building a 32-note metallophone wtih MIDI interface 
(look at my web site, http://www.members.aol.com/decomidi ) and 
I don't find any information about the position of the two holes 
on the metal bars (to hold them in the frame).

I use alloy bars 30 mm width and 5 mm thickness.  I have read the
article, "Calculations for Xylophone Bars", by Jack Breen in the
MMD technical pages [http://mmd.foxtail.com/Tech/breen_xylo.html]
but wood and metal are different.
