Ridding Musty Smells
By Pat DeWitt

Dear MMDers, I have a Mason and Hamlin Ampico 'A' (1929) on which the
entire pneumatic stack is heavily blanketed with padding to minimize
the sounds of the mechanism. I am in the final stages of restoration
but am finding that this padding has a typical musty old piano smell.
I am assuming that I want to preserve this padding, as opposed to
replacing it, because most of it is rather unique. So the big question
is, how can it be "deodorized"?

Thanks
Pat DeWitt
