Computerized Conductor Directs Synth Symphony

Terry Smythe sends a link to an interesting article in the Wall Street
Journal that tells of the "conductor's jacket" with baton telemetry and
of the computer which follows the conductor's body motions to realize
a realistic performance synthesized from sound font samples.  Needless
to say, professional musicians feel a bit uncomfortable about the new
technology.
