Seek Aeolian Orchestrelle Case Parts
By Jack M. Conway

Hi Group, In preparation to be an open house for the 2008 AMICA
Convention in Woodland Hills, California, July 1-5, I am trying to
get all of the instruments in good condition. Things are coming
together slowly but are heading in the right direction.

I am missing the bottom board and knee swells for my Aeolian Orchestrelle
Style W with a Grecian Mahogany case. Would anyone, in their parts
stash, have a bottom board and or knee swells for sale? If not, would
anyone have a piano bottom board at least 41-1/2 inches wide by 12-3/4
inches high by 3/4-inch thick? It is a simple rectangle with no cutouts.

Would anyone who owns an Orchestrelle be willing to trace the knee swells
and indicate the hinge size and location? A MMD member did this for me
in the past. I gave the drawing to a restorer without making a copy.
You guessed it -- it has disappeared.

I would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Jack M. Conway, Los Angeles, California, USA
