Replacement for Lead Tubing
By Howard Wyman

I have performed the task of replacing the lead tubing in an
Ampico drawer using neoprene tubing and a hot glue gun. Although
Ted Konetski's idea of using wire to maintain a permanent bend in
the tubing sounds like an excellent method, I don't think one could
use it in an Ampico drawer. One has to route the tubing carefully
just to get it into the space allotted. Anything that would
increase the outside diameter would make it impossible to pack all
that tubing in.

Another caveat: I tried to use some thin walled tubing but where
it makes a short, 90-degree bend, it collapsed. I then tried some
with a 5/128-inch wall thickness with no problem.
