The 4th Annual Scott Joplin Retrospective concert at St. Michael's
Cemetery, East Elmhurst, New York, will be held on May 17, at 2 p.m.
Admission is free and there will be a free barbecue.

The performers are mechanical instrument collector Randolph Herr, who
will demonstrate the Pianola Push-Up, the extraordinary pianist Richard
Dowling and singers from the Presbyterian Church of St. Albans.

This is a black church, and it mounted a fabulous production of
Joplin's opera Treemonisha a year ago last winter.  We had the group
do excerpts from the opera last year, and they will do a repeat
performance this year.  Hope to see some of you there.
