Band Organs Behind Glass
By Greg Filardo

It is all a matter of perception. Music boxes (both cylinder and
disc models) have their works behind glass, for good reasons: to
keep fingers and misguided individuals from breaking the mechanism.
On the other hand, band organs do not have all of the very delicate
parts that can easily be broken like in a cylinder music box.

The issue is the sound volume. Now if we probe the complaint,
I wonder if the complainers listen to their music loud -- blaring
car stereos. And what about rock concerts? _Those_ should
definitely be behind glass.

It is all a matter of appreciation. When confronted with the
explanation why they installed glass, hit them with these two
inferences.
