Music Boxes on Display at Steuben Glass, NYC
By Bill Wineburgh

A lovely exhibition, entitled "La Magie des Boîtes à Musique",
is now on display at the Flagship Store of the Steuben Glass Company,
667 Madison Ave. at 61st Street in New York City. The exhibit
highlights comb-playing music boxes to illustrate the two-century
history of the music box. Many superb and rare pieces are included.

Reuge SA organized this major international exhibition and is grateful
to the individuals and institutions who so kindly loaned some of the
wonderful objects, including Baud Museum (Switzerland), CIMA Museum
(Switzerland), Kyoto Arashiyama Orgel Museum (Japan), Morris Museum
(Morristown, New Jersey), Musical Box Society International and various
private collections from the USA.

The exhibition runs through August 1st and includes guided tours and
live demonstrations. More information is available by going to the
Steuben web site http://steuben.com/ then click on the 'Flagship Store'
link and then on the link to the exhibit on the bottom right side of
the page.

Musically yours,
Bill Wineburgh
