Many thanks to all the MMD'ers who offered advice on this subject.
I have now committed to buy the piano, and will aim to remove the
key-bed to get it through my doorway.  If that proves impossible,
I will attack the doorframe.  It will be a month or so before this
happens, but if anything interesting occurs I will let you know.
