20-note Punching Machine Built With Meccano
By Christofer Noering

Hello all MMD-ers! Using Meccano parts I built a "Perforator Simplex,"
or punching machine for 20-note music rolls. Of course, some parts
were to be machined from brass as the holes in the organ's tracker bar
are not spaced at quarter-inch intervals. (In fact, the spacing is
a curious fraction of millimeters -- perhaps based on old French lines?)
I couldn't even use my 'X'-parts!

But most important of all, it makes _holes: good ones on ordinary paper
as used in printing calculators, and very good ones using plastic-coated
paper (which sadly doesn't come in rolls).

Is there any independent source for 20-note music roll paper and
perhaps empty spools? Otherwise I'll have to build them from Meccano
as well. ;-)

Cheers from Sweden and happy Midsummer!
