Hi,  Does anyone know what wood type was used for Polyphon mouldings?
From the examples I have, there are distinctive medullary rays
present although the wood is not oak.  This timber was used principally
for the architectural mouldings where the rays are very noticeable.
The same timber has also been used for the disc storage rack inside
the machine.

I have heard several conflicting opinions about the wood used, including
walnut and lime, but examples I have seen of these timbers do not have
the distinctive flecked marking.  I need to source the correct timber to
replace some damaged mouldings.  Can anyone help?
