David, Larry,  Thank you very much for the information about how the
Estey rolls were made.  This answers the questions and does agree with
the many stories one hears about how they made the rolls.

As for our need to play back the scanned rolls correctly, we need an
accurate list of the exact ranks the Estey player would want if it had
everything it needed: Pedal, Great and Swell.  What would also be of
great help is a list of each tracker bar hole, top and bottom rows,
left to right, of the hole assignments.  Then no matter how Estey
recorded the music, we can use the right stops when the player calls
for them.
