Idea #1 -- Have you discovered and used the new YouTube "annotations"
tool?  I figured it could be adapted for mechanical music videos quite
effectively.  You can turn the annotations off via the triangle symbol
at the bottom right of the video picture screen.  I recycled an older
video with some utterly basic information for juvenile total beginners
to mechanical music here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiEDCWQIiZU 
With a little thought (and brevity!) it could be quite useful and make
a good educational tool in the future!

Idea #2 -- What to do with all that old ephemera that no-one is
really ever going to look through?  Turn it into a short video to
enthuse people to delve further into the subject!
