My Favorite Mechanical Musical Instruments
By Mike Roseboom

In response to Justin Senneff's post about favorite instrument
manufacturers, here are some of mine:

1. Seeburg -- because of the K.T. Special orchestrion with its
instrumentation and flashing lights.

2. Operators Piano Company -- because of the C.O. orchestrion

3. Wurlitzer -- because of the 146-A and 153 band organs, the
PianOrchestras, and the theater organs.

4. Link -- because of the roll arrangements, especially on the
2E coin pianos.

5. Artizan -- because of the robust sound of some of the C-2 band
organs (such as the one at Clark's Trading Post).

6. Gavioli -- the first mechanical musical instrument recording I ever
heard was of the 110 Key Gavioli organ that was used at Euclid Beach.
