Rebuilding H. C. Bay Player Piano
By Dale Malone

I am rebuilding my first player piano. It is a 1922 Drachmann made
by the H.C. Bay company and it has an H.C. Bay player action. I have
read both books, "Player Piano Servicing and Rebuiding" and "Piano
Servicing, Tuning, and Rebuilding", by Arthur Reblitz and I have a good
understanding of what I am doing. I have also read every thing in the
MMD Archives that I can find.

My question comes from the fact that someone has "fixed" this piano
before I bought it and there are some pieces missing. From the cutouts
and holes, it appears that there should be three levers and four buttons
under the keybed that have been removed. I am hoping that someone on
this list might have some experience with this model and would be able
to explain what is missing or, better yet, have a piano they can take
photos of. I can send photos to anyone who would need them to help.
