During the recent AMICA meeting at Woodland Hills, California,
a friend kindly provided me with some potentially useful advice that
just might fix a problem with my Violano.  Unfortunately (blame jetlag,
old age or a combination of the two) I have lost the notes and also
his contact details.  I only recall that he is remarkably intelligent
