Reproduco Restoration
By Tom Hutchinson

Four years ago I purchased a Reproduco player piano/organ. It is
standard model, serial #283125. I realized from the beginning that
something was wrong with this instrument. It had been newly rebuilt
and played reasonably well, but needed constant tweaking of the
transmission and tracking assembly to keep it playing.

After comments from several observers and some study, it was determined
that the whole upper portion of this instrument had been replaced with
the parts from a non-Reproduco. In other words the spool box,
transmission, tracker pneumatic, air motor, and everything above the
keyboard had been replaced. The piano keyboard itself has had twenty-
five keys removed, so that the span of the piano keys exactly matches
the span of the organ keys.

I would like to restore this piano to its original state. Therefore
I'm looking for the whole upper assembly and a complete set of keys for
a Reproduco player piano/organ. If anyone has a Reproduco in storage
that will never be restored and is willing to sell off parts, please
get in touch with me.

Thanks,
Tom Hutchinson
