FS: Player Piano Shop Remnants in Indiana
By Bruce Mercer

Greetings fellow enthusiasts, Having given up rebuilding after forty
odd years I am now forced to vacate the temperature/humidity controlled
environment where I have stored the last of what once was. The pianos
consist of good, unrestored complete players. It was my practice to
rebuild/replace everything in the piano: action, strings, finish and
a thorough rebuilding of the player action.

These are players I bought to rebuild when I wasn't working on others'
pianos. Fortunately that time was short and I am left with some nice
unrestored players and parts. Following is a listing:

Player pianos:

- Kreiter -- double valve Standard action, nice real ivories in ex.
condition, gorgeous matched quartered oak case (large)

- Autopiano -- Auto deLuxe double valve action, beautiful walnut case,
perfect very white ivories, with original warranty paper

- Chase & Baker -- mahogany, case stripped, missing nine ivories,
eight chipped

- Schubert -- mahogany, old refinish job, real ivories slightly
yellowed in good condition

- Milton -- smaller walnut case, needs ivories, single valve Standard
action with single long equalizer

Parts stacks:

 Standard, single valve
 Melville Clark Apollo
 Pratt & Reed
Air motors in various condition, piston, slide, Apollo spring
 Ampico pump from 1923 Chickering
 Amphion air motor from same
 Amp. 'A' drawer slides
Stoddard Ampico ex. unit with adj. bleeds
Ampico 'B' tubing junctions from drawer to stack
 Aeolian spoolbox
Tubing and hose (approx. 200 feet in all)
Two player benches, one has flip back making it a chair-back bench
(one basket case bench, needs veneer help)
New action parts, felts, nuts, dampers, keytops -- way too much to list
Rolls -- maybe 100 or more, condition unknown

All of the small parts will be boxed and ready to go. This is a pick-up
lot only; my health does not allow me to help load. Everything is at
street level, no steps.

The buyer 'must agree' to take everything listed, as it all must go.
No exceptions. For photos of anything please ask and I'll be happy to
provide any that you need. Someone _please_ save this bit of our
musical heritage. Price $100.00
