Concert Grand Chickering Ampico in Tacoma
By Ron Babb

Tom Ahearn's magnificent 9-foot Chickering Ampico concert grand that
was displayed and enjoyed in the hospitality suite at this years AMICA
convention in Los Angeles is now in Tacoma, Washington. Very few of
these very large Ampico concert grand pianos were constructed and even
fewer now survive; it is truly a rare treat to be able to play and hear
this amazing, perfectly restored instrument.

Don't miss the opportunity to see and play this suburb piano either by
roll or by hand. It is available for demonstration at Mandarin Pianos
on St. Helens St. in Tacoma, Wash., during their normal store hours.
Please feel free to bring any Ampico rolls that you have always wished
to hear on such an extraordinary piano; it will be a pleasure to play
them. For additional information contact
