I had some success with drying Ampico piano rolls using a rotary
ironer.  It takes some skill and patience.

The method:  Roll the damp or wet roll onto the take-up spool.
Carefully remove roll and take up spool from piano feed through
the rotary ironer and hand-wind the paper back on roll spool as
the paper is fed through the ironer.
