Drying Music Rolls

Unfortunately I'm not a paper conservator and our archivist is not at
work today, but, yes, depending on how many rolls you're talking about,
freeze drying might be the best option.  Some expansion is likely to
take place with any drying method, but the least expansion will occur
with freeze drying.
