Player Pianos in North Carolina
By Iran Ausley

(1) While visiting the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina,
I noticed a Knabe baby grand. The docent said that there was once
an Ampico player in the piano. The docent does not know why it was
removed but did say that the curator of the estate may be interested
in reinstalling a player since they are interested in accuracy of all
restorations in the estate. If anyone is in the area would like to
look into this, contact the curator of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville.
I do not have anymore info than what I have stated above.

(2) There is a Gulbransen upright non-expression player piano in Black
Mountain, North Carolina, at the Reunion Antique Shop. The nameplate
shows that it is post 1924. There was so much junk piled around it
I could not get any more information. Sorry that this all the info
I have.

Regards,
Iran Ausley
