Parts Needed for Orchestrion Build-Up
By Brad Hunter

I have a friend who is now working on an Orchestrion build-up winter
project with an already re-built player piano. He needs to find sources
of pre-built instruments for this project.

He needs a xylophone or glockenspiel, snare and bass drums, triangle,
block, beater assemblies, and control valves -- anything a "G" or "O"
roll machine might have used. He would also consider buying an older
build-up.

He is trying to decide between the "G" & "O" roll format. Are there any
opinions to the merits of each format? I have given him an old Player
Piano Co. motorized rollframe with both style of tracker bars.

He is aware of Ragtime West. They have very nice parts, but they are
well beyond the price range of a retired person like him. Any other
parts or parts sources out there?
