Hello MMD members:  I have been told, by my 90-year-old father, that
the Converse Rubber & Shoe Company once made very fine piano & organ
bellows cloth.  Converse is best known today, and for the last ninety+
years for it's Converse "Chuck Taylor" All Star basketball "High Top
Sneakers".  Raincoats, rubber rain boots, and rubber schoolyard balls,
beach rafts of rubber coated cloth were also produced as well as life
rafts & rain gear, waterproof flight bags for the US military during
WW2.

Does anyone know of their rubber-coated piano & organ bellows cloth
history?  Has anyone found any old advertising of Converse Bellows
cloth?  What other companies once produced rubber coated cloth?
It must have been a large business at one time!
