USPS Parcel Post is Slow
By Steve Bentley

Around October 10th I had an order shipped by "Priority Mail" shipped
from New York to my address in Vancouver, British Columbia. A tracking
number was given. After a few days I proceeded to track the parcel --
both sides of the border did not have a record of it. After many more
days I phoned the company and told them of the above and I re-ordered,
and requested the new parcel be shipped to a California address, as I
was leaving Vancouver soon.

A week before I left Vancouver the original parcel arrived, re-boxed
and packed by Canada Customs, and with a note saying, "Sorry for the
condition." As you are all aware, the "mules change at the border"
to a "new team," and the muleteer must have been drunk and was crossing
some railroad tracks because the black dress pants looked as if a freight
train had run over them, i.e., shiny for 30% of the cloth.

I have had other packages shipped from New York by "Priority Mail", and
it appears to be very slow, and noting that it cost a lot more as well.
