Roi de Rome Serinette
By Françoise Dussour

Dear MMD friends,

You can see listed on the auction website http://interencheres.com a
very rare instrument, the Roi de Rome's Serinette. Technically, it is
a Merline with twelve tunes.

François Charles Joseph Bonaparte, Roi de Rome (1811-1832), was the son
of Emperor Napoleon I. The serinette came from the descendants of
Louis Joseph Narcisse Marchand (1791-1876), who was first valet of
Napoleon I and executor of his estate. The serinette is estimated to
sell for 2000/3000 Euros.

Further description and picture can be seen at:

Best regards from France,
Françoise Dussour
