Regarding Dick Merchant's posting on the Grinnell Bros. piano in
081217 MMDigest, I live in Michigan on the west side of the state and
have seen several Grinnell Bros. pianos that had Aeolian player actions.

Recently I viewed a Grinnell piano that actually had the Aeolian name
on the plate, and the piano was in fact identical to an Aeolian piano
I had recently purchased.  I have also seen Grinnell pianos with other
player actions as well, making me believe that Grinnell purchased
pianos from various makers and had their name put on the front.
