Ametek Windjammer Blower Wiring Diagram
By Vic Searle

Many, many thanks to the dozen or so guys that showed me how to connect
my blower.

I must have gotten the 'Sooper Dooper Deluxe' kit. It came with a
box full of all kinds of wires connected, including a 10-volt power
supply, on/off switch, circuit breaker and six feet of 1" diameter
cable with a huge three-pronged male plug about 2" in diameter, with
white, black, and green wires. There's no way I can connect this to
our AC supply in Japan. Is it okay to cut this off, and connect to
a standard wall socket plug? Does it matter which color, white or
black, I connect the AC to? There is no way to ground the unit here
in the nursing home.

Also, there was an extra 10-volt power supply, pot and two sets of
the 4-pin cable plug and socket which goes into the motor. There is
also a funny-shaped white plastic gizmo which will fit around the
motor housing (with epoxy, perhaps) with a 1" hole. Any idea what
this is for?

I'll just leave the power switch on all the time as the motor will
plug into the organ's power supply.

It'll be fun trying to put this all together. Instead of the extra
parts I wish there were some mounting brackets, There are four little
tits with holes for mounting rods. It will have to be mounted from
the floor as there is nothing to hang it from, there being a yard from
the case floor to the underside of the cabinet.

Sorry to be so bothersome but I'm a pipe and cabinet maker and all
I know about electricity is not to stick my finger into a socket!

Many thanks.
