Introduction
By Alan Rigg

Hello everyone, I am not a player piano enthusiast though I have
had a couple; I spent too much time with my head inside 'em instead
of outside. My last one was a Hupfeld Solophonola in a rosewood case,
a magnificent machine once I had mastered the controls. I passed
that on with a mountain of rolls including Jelly Roll Morton. Also
had a couple of English chamber barrel organs.

My prime interest now is in key-wind cylinder boxes. I have several
Nichole Freres, including 13-inch cylinder boxes, a mandolin box and
a Paillard coin-operated double comb, dual spring motor. Also have
a 24.5 inch Polyphon and a 15.5 inch sublime harmony Polyphon.

My last two are the quietest: a son in Hamburg, Germany -- his music
comes from computer keyboards, and a daughter in Portland, Oregon,
a doctor, fiddles on human organs!

Best
Alan Rigg, England
