Pianoforce Pedal Solenoid Problem
By John McClelland

Greetings All, I have been doing some piano tuning this year in Santa

Fe, New Mexico, and I ran across a Baldwin grand with the Pianoforce

system installed (under the Baldwin name). The problem is that the

sustaining pedal solenoid gets hot but doesn't move.

Has anyone else run into something similar? I would appreciate any

tips or hints on getting the thing functioning properly. The linkage

is all there, but regardless of adjustments and fiddling, the solenoid

remains bucolic and immobile. All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

John McClelland

New Mexico
