This box looks to be reasonably large, at 23" long, so I cannot
understand the note about it having only 28 tines, which I presume is
meant to mean teeth.  A box of this size is worth quite a lot of money
and an inexperienced repairer can render it worthless in a second by
one careless action.

Please send this musical box to a professional.  There are many good
musical box restorers around the world, although I personally know of
none in Australia.
