Musical Box Tuning Scale
By Mark Singleton

Regarding Daniel Bush's enquiry about tuning: To my knowledge there are
no set tuning scales for cylinder boxes. If the tune sheet is there,
especially on such a small box of 28 teeth, then a little trial and
error with a reasonably good ear should suffice in coaxing an acceptable
tune out of the box.

However, the answer may be relatively simple. If the lead weights on
the underside of the comb have not sulphated (unusual on a cylinder
box) then the probability is the box is merely out of register.
Adjustment is straightforward and simple, via the little square head
screw on the tune change snail cam.

Hope this helps,
Mark Singleton.
