Cast Iron Frame for Lester Player Piano
By Shawn Quigley

I would just like to thank Robbie Rhodes and the MMD staff for the
posting of the broken Lester player plate. Also a special thanks
to all who responded with their generous information. Most replies
had one thing in common: Lester player plates that were broken in
the treble area.

Most tuners and rebuilders have had two or three broken plates in
their careers (three for me), all Lester player plates! I would tend
to think that there is a plate problem rather than a piano problem.
It seems highly unlikely that a large amount of Lester players had
back post or other wood problems. In any case, thanks to everyone so
much -- MMD is the best and certainly worth my continued donations.

Sincerely,
Les Beebe
