Hello all,  I have a 7-foot Steinway Duo-Art.  I have played this piano
manually for a long time and I can tell you that it has a feather
touch.  It is a pleasure to play.  The action has never been restored,
however I have restored all of the Duo-Art mechanism and it is ready to
go.

Unfortunately, one of the biggest jobs remains: the pin block has to go.
I've done that before, however the 7-foot length makes this job very
precarious.  Once this is done, I will restore the case work, which is
now painted black.  However, according to Steinway, it's original
finish was figured mahogany.

I'll let you know progress.  Hopefully, after the summer this machine
will once again play.  The tone is wonderful!
