I recommend a visit to the Enrico Caruso Museum.  In addition to a
wonderful exhibit of Caruso memorabilia displayed and demonstrated with
love by curator Aldo Mancusi, there are a small number of interesting
mechanical musical instruments.

The Enrico Caruso Museum of America is located at 1942 East 19th Street,

for an appointment to visit and the museum is open at weekends only.

The place is a joy.  It's located in the curator's home and visitors
are made welcome as to a private collection.  Original possessions of
the tenor, personal and professional costumes and many other items are
brought to life in a scholarly and entertaining presentation.  I will
long remember my visit there last year.
