I am wondering what connection there was if any, between the several
Paillard music box makers and the later, huge Swiss Paillard firm
which made Hermes typewriters and adding machines, Bolex cameras and
projectors, etc.

For years I owned two Hermes typewriters made by Paillard.  They were
outstanding.  The smaller (portable) Hermes machine boasted a standard
typewriter scale keyboard which was a great aid for me and my clumsy
hand typing.  It had a marvelous exclusive typeface called "Techno
Elite" which many correspondence recipients commented about.  I would
love to get it for my PC writing but can find no references to it as
software.

I have no idea what happened to the company and its various lines.
Can anyone enlighten me?  Many thanks and hello to my many friends
