Organ Rally in North Tonawanda 10-11 July 2010
By Dan Kjeldgaard

I 'dragged' my little brother along, and we had a great time.
I could hardly bring myself to leave, there were so many fantastic
music arrangements playing on fine instruments (almost all were in
tune, too!). Larry Kern's "Ambassador" played the finest Sousa
marches but others were also quite dandy and enjoyable.

David Wasson came from Erie, Pennsylvania, with the lovely
home-made concert organ, "Trudy" (also my beautiful white cat's name,
so I was partial). His little band of live and breathing musicians
was especially appreciated. They had a helluva time trying to be
heard above the sounds made by Trudy and the surrounding organs.

What a treat it was! If I didn't have to work on Sunday, I would
have returned.

P.S.: My big brother worked for years inside the Wurlitzer complex,
baking Syrian bread for our Episcopalian minister.
